FREIGHT is looking for bartenders to join our 21 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable.
At FREIGHT we are busy hosting events, birthday parties, fundraisers, trivia nights, weddings, concerts, book talks, dance recitals, town halls, and more! Most events are in the evenings, Thursday-Saturday but there are exceptions with events happening other days of the week a couple times a month. Training will be available, but experience in bartending is a plus!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve and drinks
- Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Prep bar ingredients
- Present bar menu to guests and answer questions
- Check customer’s identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Keep bar clean and presentable throughout shift
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Occasionally assist event team with event tear-down
- Report to Event Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as a bartender preferred
- Knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
- Knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Basic cash handling skills
- Relevant training certificate
