This month’s trivia supports Lake County Build a Generation.
At Lake County Build a Generation, they believe health is more than health care. From access to a quality education and healthy food to safe transportation and affordable housing–the environments in which we live, work, learn, and play have a measurable impact on our health.
They also believe that a healthy community is best created by the community’s own residents, working together. By engaging diverse groups of residents and organizations in the work of community change, they will ensure that a healthy life is accessible to all, regardless of who they are or how much money they make.
En Lake County Build a Generation, consideran que la salud es algo más que la atención médica. Desde el acceso a una educación de calidad y alimentos saludables hasta el transporte seguro y la vivienda asequible, los entornos en los que vivimos, trabajamos, aprendemos y nos recreamos tienen un impacto cuantificable en nuestra salud.
Asimismo, creen que la mejor manera de crear una comunidad saludable es mediante la colaboración de sus propios residentes. Al involucrar a diversos grupos de residentes y organizaciones en la labor de transformación comunitaria, garantizan que una vida saludable esté al alcance de todos, independientemente de quiénes sean o de sus ingresos económicos.
